What to Expect

A good teacher is one who makes himself progressively unnecessary...–Thomas Carruthers

Our approach is a dynamic blend of manual therapy, active rehabilitation, clinical nutrition, and functional medicine. We work hard to stay up-to-date on the latest research and always combine the available science and evidence with our clinical experience in the way that will most benefit the patient. We take a patient-centered approach in that each person that we accept into our office will be treated as an individual and given the personal attention they deserve. We are not biased towards a  particular treatment technique and are constantly striving to learn additional healing methods to aid our patients.photo 1

Our goal is an improved quality of life for our patients. Often times this means decreasing pain, improving functional independence, improving work performance and athletic abilities, injury prevention, or the improvement of body composition. We are about education, awareness, and empowerment. We take time to listen to your concerns, evaluate your health history, discuss short and long-term goals, understand your habits, watch you move, and teach you strategies for self-care.

We focus on the basics. The fundamentals of eating well, moving well, and thinking well will be emphasized.  If you are looking for an office and a doctor that will give you a temporary ‘quick fix’ with a pill, a needle, an adjustment, or some massage, then you are in the wrong place. We will work together on the most simple and significant changes that help you achieve sustainable results. The length of time that it takes to reach your goals will be a direct reflection of your level of commitment and compliance with our home-care recommendations. We check our egos at the door and we ask that you do the same. We don’t practice with an agenda, other than to help you achieve better health. We are open-minded and our approach is dynamic in that we hope our treatments of tomorrow will be better than those we offer today.
